We worked closely with Vashishtha Luxury Fashion Ltd. throughout the first phase of the project, testing different ways to cut the material, and exploring how the material behaves when being treated as an embroidery component.

The artisans in the embroidery team were able to hand manipulate the Bequin sheets into 3D shapes, and then hand stitch, which enabled us to develop organic, floral inspired textures and motifs.

Humidity, shipping and stitching all proved technical challenges which needed to be monitored and problem solved, through which we were able to engineer the material and handling process further.
